January,5 at Urca-Rio de Janeiro
Today, January 5th, I went out with my dad. We took a walk in Urca, and the atmosphere was lovely at first. Later, on our way back, the sun got stronger, and I realized I had forgotten to apply sunscreen. Urca is a wonderful place for a stroll—safe, with the sea and mountains creating a stunning backdrop, and lined with one beautiful house after another. Families were at the beaches, and children were having fun in the water. We walked for about an hour and a half. On our way back, we stopped at Rio Sul Shopping Mall, located near Urca and just before entering Copacabana. It’s a nice shopping center. We had lunch and visited a bookstore. There were so many tourists! They’re always welcome here, and I hope they’re making the most of this beautiful sunny day. Honestly, I’d love a bit of rain later, just to cool things down. I’m absolutely enjoying this sunny Sunday in Rio—it’s quite hot, but that’s okay. Rio is truly a blessed city. Next time, I’ll share more photos of Urca. Take c...
